Connecting Worlds is an educational proposal which combines classroom activities with collaborative online work among participating students. Over 16,000 students from different countries participate in Connecting Worlds.

THow are the relationships between boys and girls, and between teenage girls and boys? Do we shape our identity freely or are some of our behaviors, tastes, choices, etc. stereotyped? How does the media show gender identity?

By allowing pupils to explore ideas in a practical and inquisitive manner, this year’s Connecting Worlds approaches a very global and yet very local issue: our cultural construction of gender and how this can sometimes be a cause of inequality among people.
